Super Busy Woman

I been missing from this blog for quiet sometimes now. The reason why I haven't blog in here to much because the kids are back to school. I have been so busy since they go back to school. Spending most of my time at school helping teacher and having lunch with my son. He's been a cry baby this year so I have to keep coming to school on lunch time so he won't miss me to much.

He is getting a lot better now also I work in his classroom at least twice a week. Last Tuesday my daughter had a field trip to Imax theater. So, I was with her the whole day. It seems like my volunteer hours this year will be way more compare to last year. By next Tuesday I am at school again to help the teacher.

Silly Kids

Look what my kids did when I told them to smile. I did not know that they're making silly faces when the camera click. What a silly kids but it is funny though. I was so serious doing my pose and my kids was making fun hahaha. I like this one it seems like both had fun doing it.

I hope everyone had a wonderful summer vacation from school. A week from today the school will start once again. The kids are still in their vacation mood. They don't want to go back to school yet lol. But when they see all their school supplies and new backpacks their eyes light up. So I guess they are ready to face the 2010-2011 school after all.

My Kiddos and Me

This is a picture of me and my kids when we fish at the bridge. I was so happy that I caught this fish. Our family like to go fishing so every weekend we always fish except winter time when it's so cold. I am hoping that we can catch a big one this weekend we are going to bring our boat out to the sea.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Busy Mommy

I am one busy mommy especially now that the kids are at home. I love it that they're home with me everyday because I miss them when they're at school. But sometimes they could out of control and make their mommy stress. I guess that is one thing that mommies have to deal with. I love my kids so much and I am just here guide them and love them. Sometimes I don't even have the time to workout. But I am trying to find away maybe before they get up.

I want to do some extreme workouts but I have to find some ideas on how to do it safely. Well see what can I do here hopefully I'll get into it. I really need to try to lose more weight. I can use all the help I can get.

Easy Ways To Protect Your Home While Vacationing

Guest blog post from Taylor Ewone

There are many ways that you can protect your home while you are traveling during the summer months. The number one option, of course, is a California door alarm. They can be relatively inexpensive and provide great protection while you are away. You should always remember to set your home security alarm before leaving your home. Here are a few other options that are cost effective in protecting your home. Motion Sensitive Lighting - Most people will be deterred from breaking into your home if they are suddenly put on the spot. A light coming out of the darkness will also alert the neighbors of potential home invasion. Garage Access - Keep access to your garage area locked while you are away. If burglars are watching from the street and the garage is open, it just provides an easy access point for a break inn. Newspaper Delivery - If someone see's a large pile of newspapers it's an obvious clue that you are not home. Either stop the delivery temporarily or have a neighbor pick them up for you. Timer Lights - Burglars watching your home can see a pattern if you keep your outside lights on a timer. Make sure that you disable the timer if you are going to be away.

Disney Channel - More Than Meets the Eye

Guest post by Ryan Shetler

When many people think of Disney Channel they often think of Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, and Mickey Mouse. I first got to watch this channel when we upgraded from cable to satellite when we got some of the best direct tv deals in Virginia I have ever seen come through our area. Disney has changed a lot even in most of our lifetimes. Originally all that is showed was classic cartoons featuring classic Disney heroes like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, Goofy, and many others. In the past couple of years the Disney Channel has introduced a bunch of new programming for both children and adults. One of my favorite shows is Phineas and Ferb, the story of two kids who are just trying to have fun during summer. Another character in this show that we all love is Perry the Platypus who is really Agent P the only one who can stop the evil inventor Doofenshmmirtz. This show also features everyone favorite stereotype, the annoying teenage sister who is out to get her brothers in trouble. The show uses a series of running gags that can often be seen in nearly every episode. My favorite thing about Disney is that they keep trying new series as opposed to keeping the ones that are obviously no good. The variety of programming from cartoons like Phineas and Ferb to sitcoms that have been the birth of new stars like Cole and Dylan Sprouse and Miley Cyrus.

Thankfully There Is a Logical Answer To Housebreaking My Dog

Post from guest blogger Jordan Hockett.

I barely have enough time for myself, much less the time that is required to take my dogout ten times a day. That is why I really needed to find a way to train the dog to go to the bathroom in a specific area of the back porch. I read on my wild blue high speed internet that they have these training pads that are basically diapers that you lay on the ground for the doggy to potty on. We figured that we would give them a try, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that they did not cost much either.

When the pads came in the mail, we figured that we should put the dog on the back porch to see what would happen. These pads were the ones that supposedly have a scent that attracts dogs to use them for their restroom makings, so we were interested to see if they would live up to the hype. At first whiff, the dog started to get excited. Like he noticed a familiar smell that he was attracted to for some reason. I think that they try to make the pads smell like the lawn, or fresh cut grass. Whatever they sprayed on it, it worked. Our dog goes number one and number two on those pads, and it couldn't be easier to pick up afterward.

Clothing for Dad

Thanks to guest blogger Jennifer Roberts for the guest post.

If you're like me, you want to get your father a great father's day gift. Also, pressed for time and energy, you want to do it online and have it mailed to you or him. We recently signed up for hughesnet in New York because we live upstate in a rural area and need a satellite connection. So, I hop on my computer, with my new my internet connection that I got from one of many satellite internet providers and start surfing.

If you want to buy your father clothing, I particularly like Land's End products for men and women. (www.landsend.com) I have ordered their products in the past and found them to be reasonably priced and high quality. They generally last forever. I have ruined their clothes with bleach or another stain before they have worn out. This year I ordered a polo shirt and a plain tee shirt for my dad. Most of their men's shirts have several categories and color selections. Plus they have your dad's size. My dad lives in Florida, and he usually wears plain white tee shirts. I ordered a plain tee shirt in light blue and the polo in a color that mostly resembles teal blue. This is probably the darkest color you can wear in Florida.

Plus Land's End has a variety of styles, materials, and fits in the polos and tees. They also have a great selection for women, as well. They have a basic tee that starts at about $12.00. If you want shopping to be this easy, then look for a good Satellite Internet Deal like I did.

Avoid Potential Summer Problems

Thanks to my friend Jessica Miller for this guest post.

Summertime is the season for being relaxed and outdoors more than any other season. Even though most of us want to spend as much time enjoying the warmer weather as possible it is a good idea to have some safety rules in place to avoid any potential problems.

Make certain that sunscreen is part of your summer routine. Taking the time to put on sun block will avoid sunburns and the damage that can occur from sun rays. Appropriate clothing is also a must in the summer time. Wear clothing that will breathe well and that is lightweight to avoid overheating. Light, bright colors are good to reflect the sun instead of absorbing it.

Many people become more careless in the summer months about home security and start leaving windows and doors unlocked and open. This is never a good idea and having a home security alarm is always a sure way to be safe anytime of the year.

Always stay hydrated in the warmer weather and keep plenty of water handy for drinking. Water is the best way to quench thirst and stay healthy in extreme heat.

70 And Living Like A Teenager

This is a guest post by Fred Sertig

I celebrated my 72 birthday a few months ago by partaking in a senior iron man race. While I did not win the race, the fact that I finished the race is what I am most proud of. After all I am the same guy that had a heart attack when I was in my 40's. It was that wakeup call that turned me around. I was faced with my own mortality and basically I was told by my doctor I was a walking time bomb and I would die sooner rather than later if I did not take immediate action, which is what I did.

Now it is true that I am a senior in some of the traditional sense. I do have a Hearing Devices and I do live in a senior living facility, but you would not know it by my lifestyle. I decided that I am not going to be a normal senior. I am going to take advantage of all the resources and the technologies that are available to today's seniors. And that is why I use a Miracle Ear. I start my days off with 5 mile runs and I end my days relaxing in a senior spa getting a muscle massage.

But I don't stop with only the massages, I also partake in as many physical activities as I can for seniors such as line dancing, rock climbing, dancing, and eating healthy. As a result of adopting a more active lifestyle I feel younger today than when I did when I was actually a teenager!

Even Durable Enough for Kids

Written by my friend Colleen Berstely

We recently remodeled our kitchen and let me tell you, I swore it was going to be a nightmare. With my fiancĂ© getting ready to attend the Police Academy, guess who got to do most of the work on our kitchen remodel? I mean, aside from his usual thing, you know I can’t really install cabinets and all that.

On the other hand, that meant that I got to do most of the shopping with him out and about throughout the week. I believe in being earth-friendly and will try anything once, so I decided to go with recycled paper countertops. They gave a finished feel to the kitchen with new bamboo cabinets and cork flooring. All of these materials are extremely durable, which works out great because we have two kids under the age of five. I had to think about them every step of the way.

For something different, I chose to do the backsplash of the kitchen in recycled glass tile. I know it’s not conventional, which I also love, but glass tile like this has a lot of colors to choose from. I even let the kids help out; they loved it. In the end, the kitchen turned out beautifully, I got to go to the hardware store without my fiancĂ© who would have spent tons more money and all the materials we chose helped the environment.

In Plain Sight is Thrilling and Exciting!

Guest Post by Miley Fidone

In Plain Sight is a great show. It is about two agents Mary and Marshall who put people in the witness protection program. They work in New Mexico. This is a topic I have never seen addressed on a tv series. Mary and Marshall are great at their job and it is always interesting to see what kinds of predicaments people have gotten themselves into and what the agents have to do to protect them. The show sinks a little when Mary's family is involved but otherwise it is very interesting.

In one episode a man wanted to bring both his wife and girlfriend into hiding with him. In another, a father agreed to go into the program with his wife and daughters but then became angry and resentful because he had to leave his old life behind that he nearly got them all killed. Each week the two face some sort of unexpected challenge and it is exciting to see how they handle it. There is a new episode on Wednesday on USA and then it is repeated on Saturday. I usually watch it twice. There are always things I see the second time that I missed the first time. It is obvious that Mary and Marshall are better together than separated. They are an amazing combination. I can't wait to see what happens next! I’m glad I didn’t pick the Direct Tv Baseball Package but the family one, otherwise I don’t know if I would be watching this show!
