Hiring movers was the best decision I think we've ever made. I can't tell you how sick I was of packing up all our stuff then lugging it up multiple stairs to get into a new apartment only to have to unpack it after that. Now that we finally own our home I told my husband I was done moving things and that he was going to have to cough up the extra few hundred dollars to hire movers so we didn't have to do it ourselves. It's actually been really nice because I've had a lot of time to focus on things like making sure the cable was set up and talking to the wireless internet people and now that the movers are gone and the boxes are all unpacked I feel like we're actually at home rather than just getting started. I still need to pick out paint colors and get all the extra stuff like curtains and rugs but this house is really starting to feel like a home!

Gaining

I am gaining weight again:( I better do something about it otherwise I will be so unhappy with myself. Starting tomorrow I am going back to my diet and start to exercise again. I hope I'll get rid of this extra pounds I gain during the holidays.

I know it's going to be hard, but I will work as hard as I can. I don't like seeing my old pants going to the box again:(... So, I am up to this dieting again and hopefully I'll keep it this time and not forgetting my diet and exercise anymore.

It seems like my family and I got really obsessed with the show The Walking Dead last year. It was just so great! I used to be scared of zombie stuff, but my 14-year-old son talked me into watching the show and I kept watching it. Now we're both so glad that it's back on again! So I thought that it would be fun for us to make our Halloween decorations this year a zombie theme.

I used all kinds of ideas that I found online with my clear wireless to get some ideas about how we could do zombie decorations. I got the idea to make a zombie themed scarecrow for our front yard. As soon as I told my son about it, he was pretty excited.

We spent a few hours last Sunday afternoon making our theme scarecrow and it ended up looking so great! I painted it green and we added some details like some rips in the sacks that we used with some of the hay stuffing coming out. I thought about painting the hay that was coming out red, but I think that it was fine without doing that.

I would like to say belated Merry Christmas and advance Happy New Year to all of you who come and visit me here. It has been a very busy week for me the holidays and the kids at home. In the last few weeks I have been so occupied with my work, kids and the shopping for the holidays. Now that the holiday is almost done I am back here on my blog working again.

I am going to try to work more here from now on. I really need to put some updates in all my blogs. Now, we are looking to face the new year, in only few days more we are going to start another year. Where did the 2011 go it seems like we just started the 2011 and now it's almost done. Time really flies so fast nowadays.

There are tons of things that I know now that I wish I had known when I was young. With age comes wisdom and experience but you don’t always have the energy to carry out the things you want to do. In a way it doesn’t seem fair because when you are young you have tons of energy but not a lot of wisdom and certainty and when you are old you have a lot of wisdom but no energy. I guess things happen for a reason, if old people had a lot of energy they would probably cause more trouble throughout the world. There are some great advantages that come with getting old. For instance, you are able to sleep all day as you once did when you were a small child, you are not forced to go to work all day as you once required to do, and for the most part you have the money to do the things you’ve always wanted to do. Last night I was on the phone with one of my life-long friends. During the conversation he was telling he about a trip he’d recently taken and he also mentioned direc tv. Which only reaffirmed my belief that older people are always wiser.

I am looking for hats for my boy and girl to keep them warm this winter. I have so much hats before, but now it doesn't fit them. So, now it is time to buy for a new one. My friend just gave birth and she is looking for a baby boy hats . I have more baby girl hats than boys. All the newborn boy hats I have I give it to my sisters kids already. All I have now is some girl hats. Anyway, it is important to keep our children warm this coming winter.

I don't want my kids to catch cold that is why I am looking to buy them a new hats. I also want them to come with me that way I am sure that I got the right size. Mommy Is Back To Work

I have been so busy lately since I am back to work. I am so happy to find this job because I can be home when the kids are home and I am off when the kids and hubby are off. So, in short it is a perfect job for mommy like me. I am so thankful to have this job it is really good. Tomorrow is Monday and it is back to school for kids and back to work for mom and dad.

It's funny when I think about my job I love it and I am enjoying it! So, everyday I go to work I look forward to help the kids and meet my new circle of friends:) Anyway, I hope everyone will have fun tomorrow on Halloween night. We are going to enjoy it with the kids, so tomorrow night is another night to walk around collecting goodies:)...

My daughters are wonderful and it makes me so happy that they get along so well. They’ve both graduated college and they’re about to buy a house together which I think is a great move for their finances as well as their relationship. I’ve volunteered to help and have been doing little things like going to http://Www.HomeSecurity.com and talking to the realtor but when the time comes to actually move in I may have to bow out because I’m not very good at lifting things with my bad back. My girls get along so well and it amazes me that even when they don’t have to they would rather live together than not…what kind of an awesome sibling relationship is that! I love them to pieces but someday they’ll both get married and they’ll have to split up and that’s going to be tough for all of us I’m sure, not just them. I guess this is what I signed up for when I had twins 25 years ago – who would have know!

Fall Is Here!

Fall is here my favorite time of year! It's finally cooling down after a very hot summer. We still have hot afternoons, but we already feel the fall weather in the morning. Right now I am just loving this nice weather. Anyway, I have been super busy this past few days. I am getting use to this busy schedule though. Now I am getting use to it a little and I am pretty sure that I can handle this.

My working world is okay I love it and actually enjoying the classroom time. Today I am back to normal schedule since the testing is done, which is good. But, then again in a couple weeks or so testing time again:).. Well, the good thing is I am enjoying my new job!

New Baby

My cousin is pregnant and she is so excited! This is her second child and she is looking forward to know what is the baby's gender. Right now she is happy because she doesn't have any pregnancy cramping or morning sickness like the first one. I am so happy for her and can't wait to know if it's a boy or girl. She is hoping for a boy since she already have a girl.

I am praying for her safe pregnancy and I hope that she will give birth to a baby boy. Anyway, I miss holding babies my kids are all big now. I told hubby I want another baby, but I was just kidding. I don't want to go back on dealing with diapers again and formula it's expensive. Besides I already have a girl and a boy, so I am done.

Have a great night everyone! I hope everyone will enjoy the weekend. We have so much work to do and we are going to find out which one we can get done this weekend:)I am super tired today and my eyes are ready to go to bed. I think I will fall asleep faster tonight because I am so tired.

I feel like I did a workout for one week but did it in one day. I guess I needed it anyway. I like to do the yard work because it's like an exercise for the whole body. And because of the very hot sun I sweet too much.

It is time to buy school supplies for the kids. So, this weekend we are going to try to buy them all. I just can't believe how much supplies the second grade teachers are asking it is way too much! My daughter is going to be on a 5th grade and the 5th grade teachers are not asking that much compare to the second grade teachers.

I am crossing my fingers right now and hoping that my kids will get the teachers that they wanted for this school year. Grilled Chicken

I am enjoying my grilled chicken with fresh veggies. It was so yummy and healthy. My lazy bone strike again so I have to watch what I eat since I am not doing any exercise for a moment. But, I am going back to my exercise once the kids are back to school. I will be doing it again and hopefully I will keep it for awhile.

I am kind of guilty right now for not doing my exercise but, the good thing is I am happy:)... I don't want to think about losing weight anymore I am just enjoying life. If I lose weight it will be awesome but if not I am okay because I am happy with my family especially with hubby. He makes me so happy everyday:)...

Cleaning The Kitchen

I just finished cleaning the kitchen and I am happy now that I can walk inside my pantry again:).. Also I just took down the Kitchen Curtains and changed it to a newly wash one. I am going to be washing curtains today and hopefully I'll get it all done today. I still have to go to the store and pickup some groceries. On the way to the store I need to stop by at the post office to send a little package for my father and I need to by some stamps too I am out.

I am planning to wait for hubby until he gets home so he can go with me at the post office. He also have something to send out. Well, my kitchen is a lot better now I still have to do some organizing and it will be great! Yesterday I changed the kids curtains in their bedrooms. Now I need to wait until the curtains will dry out so I can hang it back.

I need to get ready here and go to the store. My kids have a sleep over tonight and I want to buy some breakfast food to serve them tomorrow. I can't wait to get this all done so I can have a little break.

Getting Rid Of Appliance

The first year we got our house there was a big storm in summer that totally destroyed out electric stove. So, hubby and I have to shop for a new stove. At first we have a problem on how to get rid with the old stove since the garbage collector doesn't want to pick up the stove. After a few days hubby find this company who pickup broken appliance. All we have to do is call them and make an appointment.

Finally they come and pickup the stove it was a breeze because it's one less junk out in the garage. Anyway, it happen again when our refrigerator broke down. But, this time it was a lot easier because we know who to call to pickup the refrigerator this time. I can't believe that I have to drive to the store with the kids last night even it's almost late. My son keeps on telling me that he is so bored. When I asked him what he want to do he told me he want to go to the store to buy toy. So, here we are driving to the store. We made it to the store 1hour before they close.

Well, the kids was so happy and now they are playing with the toy. I can't believe we went to the store late just to buy a toy:)... Hubby didn't go with us since he has to get up early for work.

I remember back in the old days in the country where I come from it is so hard to find plus size dresses. Over here in America it's so easy to find a plus size dress. Even shoes there are so many good shoes that can fit me really good. I have a huge feet when I was young my mom always have problem finding my shoe size.

Sometimes the shoes that my mom bought me doesn't last long lol. But, now I can actually find a nice fit shoes for my big and wide feet lol. I am going to try to go to the store later and see if they have more sales.

I got a couple of clothes yesterday and I only pay two dollars. It's one dollar each that was so cheap:)Now, I am so excited to look for more sale. I want to buy a plus size clothes for my cousin she was asking me the other day if I can send her some clothes. She told me that she is having problem looking for clothes that can fit her. Money hadn’t been an issue for us until my husband lost his job – then it became the only issue. We were scrambling trying to find something new for him and wouldn’t you know it, the best offer he got was in South Carolina, nearly three hours away from our current home. We knew it was the right thing to do, though, so we packed up everyone and we moved her to Greenville. It’s a great town and we’re adjusting nicely although I think the kids would have stayed if they’d been given the option! I went to http://www.home-alarm-systems.com when we first moved in since we didn’t know the neighborhood too well and my husband talked directly with our insurance agent about everything. I’m still looking for a new job here but since I’ve got my teaching license I have a feeling that’s what I’ll end up doing. I love being able to pick up and move and hopefully our new life here in Greenville will be as great as the one we had back home!

Almost Move There

A couple months ago hubby had a job offer in Hawaii and we did almost move there. I was starting to look for a Hawaii real estate. But, later on hubby decided to declined the job because it's too far and we have so much stuff to move. I was getting excited with the stuff that they have in Hawaii. Like beautiful mountains and beaches.

But, I guess it's not meant for us to move there. There was a very beautiful house that I seen while browsing around online. The good thing on that house is right near the beach. Knowing us we like to fish so that would be a perfect place for us. Anyway, that was a close one I thought I'll be able to see Hawaii. But, there is always a time to visit Hawaii so I need to start saving some money for that vacation instead.

Fun Camping

Now we are back from our vacation in the mountain of Maryland. The place was beautiful and the mountains are awesome. The whole family love it except the very hot weather. If it wasn't because of the heat wave the vacation would very fun. But the very hot weather kind a kill the good day at the mountain.

During night time was all great because finally its cool down. But starting at 8am the sun is already biting through our skin. Even with the heat we still had fun. I always love having a vacation at the mountain.

Kids had pizza for lunch I don't have time to cook so I got them pizza. Their favorite pizza is chicken and spinach pizza. Which is good so that my daughter can have some vegetable. Spinach is the only vegetable that she doesn't say no during eating time. Most of the vegetables she doesn't eat which is weird because I eat vegetables.

Hoping that she will grow out from it and later on she will like to eat veggies. Because right now she is a meat eater lol. Number one favorite meat is beef she love steak! my son is not a picky as his sister.

Family Outing

We took the kids to adventure landing last weekend to play in the arcade. Both had so much fun playing all the games. I like to see them both so happy. We also went fishing and caught a few fish for dinner. Soon we are going to a longer vacation and out of the state one. I enjoy road trips because I see new places and more.

My son is so crazy about his tie dye shirt he want to wear it everyday. I had to clean his room this afternoon and change his bed sheets he asked me if I can change it to the palm tree comforter I said okay. We have about 3 different kinds of palm tree comforters so he pick one. It also reminds me of buying a new bedspreads. Once I have the money I will buy that bedspreads that I saw at become.com.

Dental Appointment Tomorrow

My son has a dental appointment tomorrow morning. I want the dentist to check the tooth on the upper front because it's not coming off. His pediatrician dentist told me back In January that is the next tooth that is going to come off. But, until now there is no changes still the same did not go any loser. The problem is that there is a new tooth on the top of that one and the new tooth is starting to get crooked.

So, it is time to see the dentist and see what he is going to do about it tomorrow. I am hoping that he is going to take it off so I don't have to worry about it anymore. My son is not so happy about it but I told him that we need to do something about that tooth. Crossing my fingers now that everything will be okay and that my son will cooperate with the dentist.

Dinner Treat

We took the kids out for dinner last week for being really good at school. We took them out for shopping and after we make the kids decide where they want to eat. I just talked to my family in the Philippines and they told me that they received the package I sent them. I happiness of the kids faces is priceless! They're all so happy I wish I was with them and personally hand them the stuff. But, Hearing their happy voices makes me feel so close to them.

All the kids are so happy with their clothes and shoes. I wish I can send them more soon. I need to start collecting things again so before Christmas I can send a box or two again. Right now I have so many clothes of my kids that they don't wear anymore. So, I am going to save it for their cousins. The clothes are still pretty looking new and I am sure my nephews and nieces will be so happy about it.

You know what my favorite thing about Spring is? Baseball! I'm pretty much the biggest Yankees fan on the planet, and I can't wait for baseball season to start. We're supposed to be really good this year, as we are every year, so the first game is going to be a riot. As, of course, got my season tickets on hold at the box office, and as a native New Yorker, I'm pretty sick of snow and generally always love when the weather starts warming up. I've been using my Clear internetto look at stats for all the new players, and I think it's shaping up to be a really good season for us already. We've got the new stadium, which was awesome last year, and as you know, Yankees fans are some of the more passionate baseball fans on the planet. Spring training is just around the corner, and I may even look into going down to Florida to watch the boys practice! Like I said, Yankees fans are definitely some of the most diehard!

In Trouble

The kids did something not good yesterday so hubby and I ground them both from their cellphone for a week. They both cry when I took the cellphone away from them but I have to do it though so they learn their lesson. Anyway, my son is beginning to count the day until he gets his phone back hehehe.

Vacation Rental

It would be very nice if we can go there to relax and take a stroll around the country side.

I want to have my own little handgun for safety purposes. But, first I want to see how much for the license cost. I saw one gun at the store that I really like. I am going to search online today about the gun laws in our state.

We have a friend that their hobbies is collecting very old guns. We saw the collections and it was very neat. Most of them uses gun powder like in the old days. The designs are pretty wild and most of them I haven't seen it before. It was a good experience to see all those old guns.

Anyway I need to start my day here so much stuff is going on. I have to take my son to see a doctor today. He has this rush that is look like a hives but it doesn't go away. So, it is time to see the doctor.

There was a cop car the other day across the street. I think they have a false alarm on the neighbors home security system. We had that happened before and I was so scared I thought our house got burglarize. Hubby and I arrived at our home with the cops already looking around the yard. We found out later on that we have a broken wire right on one of the bedroom window. Anyway I am still thankful though that we have a security system at home it makes me feel safe. Look at the picture above my son made it at school for Mother's Day. I just love it is so beautiful! He was so excited to show me what he made for me. Today is washing clothes day for me I have so much washing to do. So far I am half way there and while waiting for the rest to be done I am trying to fold. The kids got so much dirty clothes this week. They change clothes more than once a day. So, I end up washing clothes almost every day each week.

After this I want to clean the house so I don't need to do it tomorrow. I will have some company tomorrow. So, I really need to get it all done today. Also on Thursday I will be at school my son's teacher need my help. What a busy mommy I am!

This is our second day of getting up early for school. Now my daughter is in training for being a school patrol for next school year. They started their training yesterday and she like it. I have to change all the alarm clocks because now we have to get up earlier. She need to be at school by 8am. So far she's been cooperating with me on getting up early I did not hear any complain at all.

But, my son complains a lot he said he just closed his eyes and it is time to get up already. My poor little by has to get up early too. Hopefully he will get use to it by next school year. So funny because every morning we arrived at school way early. They don't open the front door until 8am. So, my son and I have to wait at the door until they open. My daughter start her training right away.

I Had A Very Sad Week

last week I received a bad news about my uncle he had a heart attack. He got admitted to the hospital and he was in a coma. After 3 days he pass away and that was the hardest part for us his family. I was so emotional this fast few days because I can't go home. Well, all I can do right now is to pray for him.

Then, after I received that bad news about my uncle another bad news again. This time my godmother she also pass away. My goodness me it was so hard for me to handle to hear all those bad news. She was the best godmother. Now, all I can do is to pray for their soul I know that they're in a better place now with god. :(

We Had Fun

We had so much fun last night at a friend's house watching boxing. Manny Pacquiao won! Anyway the kids had fun playing with their friends and we got home after 1am lol. I am so tired but I couldn't sleep anymore. So, here I am trying to blog. I will probably take a nap later on. The kids are also awake and watching tv. We are going swimming at the pool today. The kids are so excited about swimming and they can't wait to go. First we have to get something to eat first. Furniture Cleaning

This week I am going to clean up the outdoor furniture. Hubby and I are looking for the new cover for our gazebo out in the backyard. I am hoping to find a cheaper one. Here is the picture of my son's arm when he scraped it. That was so painful for him and I am glad that it is all good now. Since that day he had that accident in the fence I never seen him back in there again. Anyway I just thought of sharing this picture here with you guys.

Buying a Home

I have a friend that is in the process of buying their first home and I am so happy for her. They are working on closing the deal this week. Now nemo have somebody to play with lol. Today hubby put away all his snake cages in the attic. We are not planning on having a pet snakes again. Tomorrow is back to school again. The kids are not very happy about it lol. This would be a very short week for school though. We only have 4 days of school. But, my kids will only have 3 days because they are not going to school on Thursday. We have some very important thing to do as a family and they can't miss it.

Now they are so excited for the 5 day weekend! I hope the rain won't come on the weekend so we can enjoy the outdoor activities. Favorite Shows

Finally I am home today now I can watch all the shows that I miss in the past 4 days. Volunteering at school was great I get to spend a little time with the kids and see then during lunch time. Now, I am back at home and I'm glad that I have a break. Good thing we have Direct TV and I can record all the shows that I missed.

So, today while washing clothes I am going to watch my shows. I am enjoying this quiet and relaxing day. I have plenty of stuff to do and I want to finish it all today. I don't want to do it tomorrow because tomorrow is family day. Anyway my friend was so happy that finally she got her Satellite TV installed yesterday. Now she can enjoy her favorite tv shows on tv too.

I am thinking of going to the school to see the kids on their lunch break. I have to see if I have time to do it today. I also need to go to the gas station to put gas on my car I am almost empty.

The Fcat is finally over for my 4th grader. Now is the waiting part of the result. We have to wait until June to find out the result. I don't like waiting but, we don't have any choice! Anyway I am glad that is already over. I had spend 4 days at school as a proctor and that was a little boring.

Now finally I can update my blogs and work on my laundry. I have 3 hamper of clothes that need to be wash. I started washing last night and I need to finish it all today. I believe that bad storm yesterday! It was a mess trying to drive the kids to school. But, anyway it was good for our grass though. Now the seeds that hubby put down in the yard is start growing. Here is a picture of me and my daughter at the playground. Thanks to my son for taking this picture of me and his sister. I like to take picture of us whenever we are out or in the house. Sometimes my kids complain on me about taking too much picture. But, then when we looked back in all the pictures that I took throughout the year they're so happy seeing themselves. I am searching for a better Car Insurance for my igat. I call my car igat I gave her a name lol. Right now the car insurance that we have is too expensive. For some reason it went up. I know that we can find a cheaper one out there. So tomorrow I am going to start searching and comparing prices.

I am tired of paying to much in car insurance where you can find a cheaper one. I really need to work on that tomorrow so I can start saving some money. Anyway time really fly it's already after 7pm. Soon it is bedtime for the kids already. I better feed them so we can get them ready for bed.

Mommy and Kids Time Together

I had so much fun with the kids this whole week. Hubby had to work during their spring break so, it's up to me how to get the kids busy. I am happy because they had fun even though we did not go out of the city. We made our staycation really fun. I brought them to a different parks to play and we also went to the beach.

They love the beach even though the water was a little cold. Then we took them to the movie theater to watch the diary of the wimpy kid. They told me that they had so much fun and that they're not ready to go back to school hehehe.

Spring Cleaning!

We started our spring cleaning yesterday and I was very tired. Pulling and pushing furniture's are back breaking:) I am done cleaning yet but, I got the furniture rearrange. Now I need to put away the thick winter clothes away. I think I need to look for a Custom Labels for every stuff that I need to put away. That way it will be easier for me to look for them. I got so much stuff in the attic they I did not put any label on it now I don't know which one is which?

So now I want to have one of those Custom Label. The kids are having fun watching movie right now so I better get going and start with the cleaning again. I have a busy schedule today. I have to take my daughter to the dentist in the afternoon. So, I need to get those clothe put away before then.

I want to make sure that I label each one of them. I might have to work on the labeling later on. Right now I just want it in the box.

Awesome Day

Today is a very specially day. First I went to my daughter's school to see here for the celebration of the black history month. The kids dressed up and so is my daughter. My friend was there also to see her son. After walking around at school my friend and I went out to eat lunch. We end up eating at pf changs.

The food was so yummy everything was great except the server knock my glass of water down lol. Anyway after lunch we went back to school to pick up the kids but, the kids still have a program. My friend went ahead and go home. So I just stayed and wait until dismissal to bring the kids home.

The rest of the day was also wonderful hubby took us out to dinner. Now here we are hubby and the kids are enjoying the TV show they are watching while I'm blogging. I am getting really sleepy but my mind is still very much awake but, my eyes is not holding up good. I probably going to end up in bed very soon.:)

Busy Week

I was really busy this week helping the teacher at school. Tomorrow I will be there to help here again for the 100 days of school. We have so much activity to do with the kids. For now I need to do blogging for money before going to bed. The kids want to play games on their computer. But, it's getting late so mommy have to make them stop.

Anyway we just watched the alpha and omega movie and the kids really like it. They told us that they want to watch it again with their friends on Friday. So, we have to see what is going to happen here in Friday we are going to celebrate my daughter's birthday.

Today is cold but it's also sunny and I like it this way compare to yesterday. Yesterday was so gloomy and stormy all day. Finally today is a lot better but, still we have some cold weather coming up. I am not looking forward to it but what can I do but to bundle up I guess. Anyway my son start crying again this week. After a whole month of not crying anymore when I drop him off to school. This week is back again I don't really know what is going on with him. I guess we baby him to much.

My goodness me it's so cold and I don't like it at all. It has been almost a month of straight freezing temperature. It's so not fair now I miss the Philippine weather. How I wish that I am in the Philippines right now. I miss wearing just short pants in the house. Lately I have been wearing at least two layers of clothes inside the house.

The portable heater is a big help. But, the problem is the electricity bill. Now I am wondering how much is our electricity and gas bill next month. It's crazy that no matter how much we try to save electricity we still pay too much.

Well, I guess the only time we can save money is to not use any electricity too much. But, how we are going to do that? when almost everything in the house runs in electricity. I just hope that the cold weather will stop soon so we an have our warm sunshine back.

Thank god it's Friday and no school for the kids. We are having our relaxing time here at home today. My kids are watching TV while I am enjoying my early morning blogging. Having So Much Fun!

My kids are having so much fun they had a friends came over last night and played with them. Today my daughter's best friend is here at home having a sleepover. My kids are so happy to have a friends. I was so glad that they got to spend time with friends.

They are having so much fun with just dance wii game. I even dance with them lol. Now I need to buy the just dance2. Monday will be a family bonding day only that means hubby and I will have a break hehehe. It will be a rainy day on Monday too and that is not good.

Anyway our neighbor was being so careful this past few days when the weather gets down to the 20s. Last time they had a broken pipes due to the freezing temperature and it flooded the whole house. She has to hire somebody to fix water damage. Good thing the have a water damage insurance and that take care of the problem. Now she have a pretty much new flooring and more. I am back here I have been so busy with other stuff that I forgot about this blog. Thank you all so much for keeps on visiting here. I apologize for not putting any updates in here for months now. I will be active again on this blog and I will try to update every now and then. So many pictures to share but, not much time to upload it. This week I will try to upload some photos.

Today is super cold here in Jacksonville. The only thing is missing is snow. I couldn't believe that all 49 states snowing except Florida. Today when I dropped the kids off to school I have to bundled them up because it's freezing outside.

My son is complaining now on how cold it is. Usually he likes cold weather I guess he has enough with this freezing temperature. I don't know if we are going to warm up this week at all. It seems like the winter weather is staying for a little longer this time.

I really hate it when my car's windshield is all ice. It takes time to take it off and I have to get out there early to make it warm for the kids. It's just crazy weather we are having right now. I can't wait for spring my favorite. Well, Have a wonderful Thursday everyone and stay warm!

I been missing from this blog for quiet sometimes now. The reason why I haven't blog in here to much because the kids are back to school. I have been so busy since they go back to school. Spending most of my time at school helping teacher and having lunch with my son. He's been a cry baby this year so I have to keep coming to school on lunch time so he won't miss me to much.

He is getting a lot better now also I work in his classroom at least twice a week. Last Tuesday my daughter had a field trip to Imax theater. So, I was with her the whole day. It seems like my volunteer hours this year will be way more compare to last year. By next Tuesday I am at school again to help the teacher.

I am one busy mommy especially now that the kids are at home. I love it that they're home with me everyday because I miss them when they're at school. But sometimes they could out of control and make their mommy stress. I guess that is one thing that mommies have to deal with. I love my kids so much and I am just here guide them and love them. Sometimes I don't even have the time to workout. But I am trying to find away maybe before they get up.

When many people think of Disney Channel they often think of Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, and Mickey Mouse. I first got to watch this channel when we upgraded from cable to satellite when we got some of the best direct tv deals in Virginia I have ever seen come through our area. Disney has changed a lot even in most of our lifetimes. Originally all that is showed was classic cartoons featuring classic Disney heroes like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, Goofy, and many others. In the past couple of years the Disney Channel has introduced a bunch of new programming for both children and adults. One of my favorite shows is Phineas and Ferb, the story of two kids who are just trying to have fun during summer. Another character in this show that we all love is Perry the Platypus who is really Agent P the only one who can stop the evil inventor Doofenshmmirtz. This show also features everyone favorite stereotype, the annoying teenage sister who is out to get her brothers in trouble. The show uses a series of running gags that can often be seen in nearly every episode. I barely have enough time for myself, much less the time that is required to take my dogout ten times a day. That is why I really needed to find a way to train the dog to go to the bathroom in a specific area of the back porch. I read on my wild blue high speed internet that they have these training pads that are basically diapers that you lay on the ground for the doggy to potty on. We figured that we would give them a try, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that they did not cost much either.

When the pads came in the mail, we figured that we should put the dog on the back porch to see what would happen. These pads were the ones that supposedly have a scent that attracts dogs to use them for their restroom makings, so we were interested to see if they would live up to the hype. At first whiff, the dog started to get excited. Like he noticed a familiar smell that he was attracted to for some reason. I think that they try to make the pads smell like the lawn, or fresh cut grass. Whatever they sprayed on it, it worked. Our dog goes number one and number two on those pads, and it couldn't be easier to pick up afterward.

Many people become more careless in the summer months about home security and start leaving windows and doors unlocked and open. This is never a good idea and having a home security alarm is always a sure way to be safe anytime of the year.

70 And Living Like A Teenager

I celebrated my 72 birthday a few months ago by partaking in a senior iron man race. While I did not win the race, the fact that I finished the race is what I am most proud of. After all I am the same guy that had a heart attack when I was in my 40's. It was that wakeup call that turned me around. I was faced with my own mortality and basically I was told by my doctor I was a walking time bomb and I would die sooner rather than later if I did not take immediate action, which is what I did.

Now it is true that I am a senior in some of the traditional sense. I do have a Hearing Devices and I do live in a senior living facility, but you would not know it by my lifestyle. I decided that I am not going to be a normal senior. I am going to take advantage of all the resources and the technologies that are available to today's seniors. And that is why I use a Miracle Ear. I start my days off with 5 mile runs and I end my days relaxing in a senior spa getting a muscle massage.

But I don't stop with only the massages, I also partake in as many physical activities as I can for seniors such as line dancing, rock climbing, dancing, and eating healthy. As a result of adopting a more active lifestyle I feel younger today than when I did when I was actually a teenager!

We recently remodeled our kitchen and let me tell you, I swore it was going to be a nightmare. With my fiancé getting ready to attend the Police Academy, guess who got to do most of the work on our kitchen remodel? I mean, aside from his usual thing, you know I can’t really install cabinets and all that.

On the other hand, that meant that I got to do most of the shopping with him out and about throughout the week. I believe in being earth-friendly and will try anything once, so I decided to go with recycled paper countertops. They gave a finished feel to the kitchen with new bamboo cabinets and cork flooring. All of these materials are extremely durable, which works out great because we have two kids under the age of five. I had to think about them every step of the way.

For something different, I chose to do the backsplash of the kitchen in recycled glass tile. I know it’s not conventional, which I also love, but glass tile like this has a lot of colors to choose from. I even let the kids help out; they loved it. In the end, the kitchen turned out beautifully, I got to go to the hardware store without my fiancé who would have spent tons more money and all the materials we chose helped the environment.

In Plain Sight is a great show. It is about two agents Mary and Marshall who put people in the witness protection program. They work in New Mexico. This is a topic I have never seen addressed on a tv series. Mary and Marshall are great at their job and it is always interesting to see what kinds of predicaments people have gotten themselves into and what the agents have to do to protect them. The show sinks a little when Mary's family is involved but otherwise it is very interesting.

In one episode a man wanted to bring both his wife and girlfriend into hiding with him. In another, a father agreed to go into the program with his wife and daughters but then became angry and resentful because he had to leave his old life behind that he nearly got them all killed. Each week the two face some sort of unexpected challenge and it is exciting to see how they handle it. There is a new episode on Wednesday on USA and then it is repeated on Saturday. I usually watch it twice. There are always things I see the second time that I missed the first time. It is obvious that Mary and Marshall are better together than separated. They are an amazing combination. I can't wait to see what happens next! I’m glad I didn’t pick the Direct Tv Baseball Package but the family one, otherwise I don’t know if I would be watching this show!

Hello everyone! I am so tired today I was finishing my Christmas shopping and finally I am done. Then here I am found out that I can now purchase an iTunes Online Gifts through facebook. Once you ordered it will appear on your wall and then you can use it from there it’s so easy. Now I know so next time I can get it from there. Hubby and I just bought our son an iPod, he love music so much. Also I can use it while his at school lol. I even check out the iTunes Fan Page.

I will surely purchase my iTunes online the next time. I had a busy day today I went to my son’s school to help out on the teachers. Then I went to store to finish shopping, now I am so tired. I have a go to bed soon I will be helping on my daughter’s classroom tomorrow. I need all the sleep I can get.

Moving In

My friend is moving in their new house next week and she is so excited. She was so happy that finally she will have her own home. She is working on buying new appliances and furniture's. I am enjoying my TFC channel it keep me updated on what is happening on my country.

After a big day yesterday we decide to stay home today and just relax. We had fun and now we are watching TV. My friends are enjoying their Direct TV and watch Filipino channel on it. A Date

Since we got our kids hubby and I never have a date anymore. But since both of our kids goes to school now we can have our little date during lunch time. Tired Today

I clean and wash clothes today it was a lot of work around the house. Now I have to Iron and hopefully one day I get a day off from all the house work lol. The house is so clean during day time. When my kids gets home from school they start making a mess again. So I guess I have to keep cleaning everyday.

My girl is trying to help me a little but not all the time. Just little things like putting dishes away from the dish washer. I can use a house maid lol! I wish hehehehe. I noticed that my son is really into music lately. Hubby and I both love music and I think our son have our passion in music. My daughter is so shy, but also loves music. We had a great time when we visited Kennedy space center. The kids really love the whole place. We even watch the movie star trek in their Imax theater. My kids are in the bathroom right now brushing their teeth and getting ready for bed. It's hard to get them to go to bed they always want to stay up late and that is a no no especially on school days. I let them stay up late on Friday night and Saturday night and they can really stay up so late. Both of them is just full of energy and it seems like they never get tired.

My son doesn't take a nap in the afternoon anymore. He love to play around and go to the play ground in the backyard. Today he was riding on his little go kart in the front yard. When I told him it's enough we have to go in the house so mommy can cook dinner, he got really mad at me because he want to stay and play.

Wondering Around

Last weekend hubby take us for a ride to Saint Augustine and the kids really had fun. We stop and check out all the fishing pier and walk on the beach. We also let the kids play in the playground. I told hubby that we need to come back to Saint Augustine again soon I want to explore that beautiful place.
